Matthieu Huang
Matthieu Huang is a seasoned educator with teaching experience ranging from Kindergarten to Upper Elementary. Prior to joining Baker & Bloom, Matthieu was a senior teacher and a member of the management team at one of the world's largest education organizations.
Known for delivering high quality classes across ages 3-17, Matthieu places a great emphasis on differentiation. He utilizes a variety of tried-and-tested teaching methods to engage young learners of all types.​
Matthieu received his Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Asia and the Pacific, where he also placed first in the university's EMA Business Innovation Competition. In addition to his business credentials, he has attained a 120-Hour Foundation TEFL certification as well as a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second or Other Language (TESOL). He is highly proficient in teaching reading skills and has been certified in Teaching ESL/EFL Reading: A Task-Based Approach by the University of London.
A lifelong learner, Matthieu is also an accomplished athlete: in 2017, he won the gold medal in Muay Thai at the Philippine National Games. When he isn’t teaching, he spends his time surfing and boxing.
