a. Enrollment and Tuition

Enrollment will be confirmed by email only upon receipt of both a completed application form and a tuition payment. Enrollment is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Students may enroll in one or both modules of a course. If course fees are not received by the date of the student’s first class, Baker & Bloom reserves the right to discontinue participation of the student until course payment has been settled. Course fees are non-transferrable and non-refundable.

 

b. Course Cancellation

Baker & Bloom reserves the right to cancel a course for any reason we see appropriate. In such cases, a full refund for the remaining classes will be issued. Baker & Bloom also reserves the right to suspend any student who displays disruptive or inappropriate behavior without refund.

 

c. Attendance & Make-up Session Arrangements

Refunds and transfers are not provided for missed classes. In the event that a student cannot attend a class, a make-up session can be arranged only if at least 1 business day (24 hours) of prior notice was provided (except in documented cases of illness). The make-up session must be scheduled within one week  (6 business days) following the missed class, and is subject to teachers’ availability. A maximum of two make-up sessions are allowed per student per semester.

 

d. Arrangement for Inclement Weather Conditions

Classes will be cancelled when Typhoon Signal 8 or Black Rainstorm Signal is in force. In cases when such weather signals are lowered two or more hours before the scheduled start time of the class, students are expected to attend class as usual. No refunds or make-up classes will be provided for classes cancelled due to inclement weather conditions.

 

e. Rights

All Baker & Bloom’s materials are strictly limited to use by our current students and must not be reproduced, republished, distributed or otherwise exploited in any manner without Baker & Bloom’s prior written consent. Baker & Bloom’s name, logo and all related trademarks are the property of Baker & Bloom Limited and cannot be used without Baker & Bloom’s written consent. Soliciting our employees and staff outside Baker & Bloom without Baker & Bloom’s permission is strictly forbidden.

 

f. Disclaimer

Unless notified in writing by the parent, we reserve the right to use the work, photos, sound recordings and videos of our students on Baker & Bloom’s website, blog, teaching and marketing material.

 

g. Parental Consent

I consent to my son or daughter named undertaking activities with Baker & Bloom during the fall semester, including participation of outdoor learning activities and field trips organised by Baker & Bloom during or outside class time.

 

h. Privacy Policy

Baker & Bloom is committed to ensuring the privacy and security of the personal data it holds. We aim to meet this commitment by implementing the principles and requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of the HKSAR. By voluntarily choosing to provide your personal information through our application form, you are permitting Baker & Bloom to store, maintain, process and use this information in accordance with this statement, for purposes such as sending information in regards to our products and services, events, promotions and other activities which may be of interest to you. It is entirely voluntary for you to provide your personal information. However, failure to do so may result in our inability to process your requests fully and to provide facilities and services.

 

Personal data supplied to Baker & Bloom will be kept confidential and are accessible only to teachers and staff providing services to you. We will also take all reasonably practicable steps to erase your personal data that are no longer required for the purposes for which the data were originally collected. You are entitled to request access to and correction of your personal information, and to review the privacy policy of Baker & Bloom by contacting us at info@bakerandbloom.com.
